Morse burst encoder (Arabic version)
The MA-4230A was a morse burst encoder, built by
Racal Datacom Ltd (UK)
in the late 1980s especially for the Iraqi Army.
It supports the Arabic character set and allows messages,
stored in its internal (1024 character) memory,
to be sent as a high speed burst, in order to minimize
the chance of interception and detection.
It was part of a family of devices, that included
a complementary decoder, a printer a various power sources.

The MA-4230A was in fact a special version of the MA-4230,
albeit with a different key pad.
The image on the right shows the Arabic version of the MA-4230.
